    Paul Jean Martel (1878-1944) was a Belgian Post-Impressionist artist who entered the Academie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles in 1897 and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) in 1906 where he studied under Thomas Anshutz. At the Academy he became friends with Edward Redfield, W.
