Peter Edgeley. In the Glen Eira Artists Society a common bond is painting En Plein Air, generally in Caulfield Park. The aim for me is to go back to basics, capturing the natural effects of light and colour. As Frenchman Camille Corrot once said "Go to the country - the muse is in the woods". My process is to first sit and absorb the atmosphere and feel of the place, sometimes called the genius loci.
