There are a number of Pierrets labeled "M. Poimboeuf" (see also the Super 8 ad, above). This gentleman -- full name's Hippolyte Poimboeuf -- was the tenor saxophone player in Marcel Mule's sax quartet (with René Chaliné on alto and Georges Chauvet on baritone) and a colleague of his at the Garde Républicaine in Paris. In other words, a very big-name classical player.
