Jan 08, 2020 · I’m having an issue with my various artists Music folder where It will apply the first artist found in the folder to the “Artitst” Field to all consecutive songs in the folder. In my case, the file “01-Blood Sugar.m4a” by Pendulum is the first file that plex see’s and Pendulum gets marked as the Artist for everything. The “Track Artist” Field is correct for everything though.

Jan 07, 2020 · I looked through all the support articles and forums but the answer is extremely contorted All i need to know is how to name my folders and files for a compilation album e.g. Now thats what i call music! 92 The naming convention i’ve currently got is: Music Various Artists Now thats what i call music! 92 1-01 - Madonna - Music.mp3 1-02 - Slipknot - Sulfur.mp3 etc.

If you have an album with multiple artists, each track should have the correct artist marked in an mp3 tag, and an "album artist" marked as well which is the same for all tracks (but doesn't necessarily match the track artist). The album will show up in Plex as the album artist. This works well for pop music.

Feb 07, 2017 · Plex has created a artist folder named “Various Artists” and put a LOT of stuff there. From within that folder in Plex I want to rename artists for all my content there which are all named “Various Artists”, it allow me to change artists names and save but Plex reverts all my changes back to Various Artists, why ?

Mar 02, 2013 · Plex is a pretty nifty media server and app for deices such as Roku. However, with a large music library, it can do some goofy things. One of the most annoying is placing albums under the “artist” Various Artists (when they shouldn’t be there). Case in point, two albums that I ripped from CD ended up in this category.
