In order to suit the needs of a variety of artists and maintain an atmosphere of momentum and diversity, the Red Lodge Clay Center offers two residency options. Year-long residencies run from September 1st through July 31st. Short-term, proposal based residencies ranging from one to eight weeks, are considered from September 1st through May 1st.

Red Lodge Clay – Center Short-Term Resident 2015. Lauren Smith is a professional artist living and working in Ulm, Montana. Smith received her MFA with an emphasis in Ceramics in 2011 and her BFA in 2005 from the University of North Texas. She studied with Steven Hill who is a renowned artist known for his spraying techniques.
