A resale royalty, also called a droit de suite, entitles an artist to receive a royalty payment from subsequent sales of his or her artwork.

For artworks created before the Commencement Date, the royalty will not be payable on a commercial resale after 8 June 2010 if it is also the first transfer of ownership to occur after the Commencement Date.
