Roger Ing Roger Ing was born in a small village outside of Guangzhou, China in 1933. He immigrated to Canada in 1950, first working in his father’s restaurant in Regina. Later, he and his wife, Mei, opened the New Utopia Cafe where Ing did the majority of his artwork.

Roger Ing (1933 – 22 July 2008) was a Chinese Canadian artist. Born in Canton, China, he emigrated to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1950 at the age of 18.
