    Apr 18, 2008 · Sabian AA vs. AAX. I have the option to get one of these hihats for around £100 (~$200USD?). I've not played either of them in the flesh but I prefer the sound of the AA after hearing it on the Sabian website. They appear to be the same quality but the AA appears to be heavier (med-heavy top with ex-heavy bottom).
