    The Artist Series has easily become Samick 's most well-known and acclaimed line. Officially introduced in 1995 (with some early models made in 1994), the Artist Series was the culmination of 30 years of building guitars, and everything learned from working with engineers at Gibson, Tokai and Matsumoku. Nearly all Korean-made models became part of the Artist Series in 1995.

    Mar 25, 2002 · Samick is the largest guitar manufacturer in the world. Almost all of the guitar manufacturers mid to low end models are made by Samick in Korea. Basically, if you're paying less than $7-800 for a guitar, it's probably a Samick, no matter what it says on the headstock.

    Dec 06, 2006 · They did have a better qualitty line dubbed "Artist Series" that were about the equivalent of Epiphone at the time. (I had a Samick Artist Series jazz box that was virtually identical to a Casino.) Since Bennett came, things have improved tremendously. The first guitars to get the Bennett treatment were the strat-style electrics.
