    sanford wurmfeld: a brief biography Sanford Ian Wurmfeld (herein referred to as SW) was born on 6 December 1942, the second son of Charles Jacob Wurmfeld and Esther Witzling Wurmfeld. Though both his parents were born in New York, his grand- parents were emigrants in the late 19th century: the paternal side from Hungary and the maternal side from Galicia, Eastern Europe.
