Scott Lawrence Jacobs. . Jacobs is the ancestor of Daniel Chester French, Designer of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Born in Hartford, CT; Jacobs grew up with a natural talent and love of art, painting since he was three years old. Mostly a self-taught artist, although Jacobs graduated from Hartford College of Art, while still attending high school.
