Feb 14, 2011 · Apparently Mr. Crooks (Robert Crooks, founder of Standel) did not care for the sound of the JBL D130F. Standel acquired Trusonic and used their speakers briefly before selling the speaker company. Subsequently Altec Lansings were used in the Imperial and Custom lines and Eminence speakers were used in the Artist and Studio lines.
