Stephen Lees, born in 1954 in Sydney, moved to Tasmanian in 1976 after visiting and falling in love with the cold, the mountains and the amazing landscape of the North-west coast. Stephen Lees Stephen has been exhibiting his paintings as far back as 1974 when he was only 20. One of Tasmania’s foremost landscape painters, Stephen won the coveted Glover Prize in 2005 and was highly commended in 2008.
