Apr 30, 2001 · The Artist line costs about $125 more than Crescendo and is MUCH better. The Artist is better than the typical German factory violin in fractional sizes 9e.g Lewis) and the Crescendo is not quite as good, IMHO. In fractional sizes you can only get a cheap shpaed case without suspension. I replaced the Stringworks case with a suspension case from SHAR.

Dec 28, 2005 · I upgraded from the Stringworks' Artist to a KB 2 years ago and it was a good move. The better sound of the KB violin amazed me and fueled my desire to become a better violinist. I say go for all the instrument you can afford. I'm sure you will grow in to it.
