The Artist is better than the typical German factory violin in fractional sizes 9e.g Lewis) and the Crescendo is not quite as good, IMHO. In fractional sizes you can only get a cheap shpaed case without suspension. I replaced the Stringworks case with a suspension case from SHAR.
