WARP is a visual arts platform originated in 2006 and based in Sint-Niklaas. We operate in the Waasland region. WARP is an acronym that stands for 'Waasland Artistic Projects'. The verb 'warping' refers to the creative transformation of an environment from a certain starting point.

WARP got to know Adrien Tirtiaux in 2010 when he was selected for the Artist Village, an international encounter for artists, curators, and actors in the cultural field. Until the 7th of March you can visit his latest show ‘Lieux de papier’ at Galery Otty Park in Antwerp / Borgerhout.

COUP DE VILLE 2020 - CHASING FLOWERS. Every few years, contemporary art platform WARP immerses the city of Sint-Niklaas (Belgium) in the hottest new contemporary art with the 'Coup de Ville' arts tour. Previous editions in 2010, 2013 and 2016 attracted over 10,000 visitors to our city. The fourth edition of Coup de Ville in 2020 – ‘Chasing Flowers’ – will be a quest for flowers.

The Artist Village provides an ideal environment where artists can immerse in an open investigation of their work. The artists' village during the exhibition Coup de Ville is an offshoot of the annual portfolio days and the (post-) summer school. WARP organises these encounters with professionals from over the entire world: curators, art critics and established artists from New York to Beijing and from Toronto to Cape Town.
