Apr 04, 2007 · Now the band was listed twice instead of ten times but it still was basically the same problem with the same artist. The weird thing is I just added new artists on to my iPod on they appear fine. I made sure Death Cab For Cutie's entire selection on my iPod was pointing to the same exact spelling of the artist.

Playing one from the first listing, and then scrolling down to the second listing, is playing the same song. This happens because “Manually manage music” is enabled in iTunes. You dragged the same song twice into iPod. Disable that.
