    Description: [ CANADIAN ART ] william brymner (1855-1925) WASHING CLOTHES AT THE RIVER'S EDGE signed and dated '1883'; signed on the reverse oil on canvas 25.4 by 29.9 cm. 10 by 11.75in. This fine oil was probably painted in France, where Brymner went to study at the Academie Julian before returning to Canada in 1886.
