Dec 17, 2006 · I've just added the %BAND% field as a column called Album Artist and it seems to be working fine with Winamp. Also, it seems that the default ML behaviour is to copy the Artist data over to the Album Artist (the metadata field not the ID3 tag) when Album Artist is null - just use the option to read metadata on a bunch of selected tracks.

I know Winamp will pull from that if metadata albumart is absent. (I think) if its missing, it takes the lowest seeded track's embedded album art and represents it for the entire album. Im guessing Winamp is pulling folder.jpg and its different procedurally and why you have a short 'draw-distance'.

Winamp noob here, when I edit the meta data on albums to have the artist I want, that album is still under the "no artist" section. How do I fix this? I have the soundtrack to Marathon, and I gave it an artist and track titles, as well as composer and producer and all that, but it's still listed under "no artist".
