Our pottery is fired over a 4-day period during which we fuel our kiln with locally-sourced scrap wood around-the-clock to a temperature of over 2300 degrees. The ash from the burning wood makes a natural glaze on the pottery. The kiln then cools for a week before we can unload the 1300+ pieces that fill the two chambers.
