    Earl grew up in Ossun, Louisiana (near Carencro). In the 40's and 50's this tiny rural community consisted of six buildings and didn't so much as have a blinking light, to slow traffic. Earl began painting during the late 70's and early 80's, when he owned and operated Judge Roy Bean's and the Beef & Ale restaurants, in Lafayette, Louisiana.
