According to literature G&L put out, some of these Tribute Series Legacy HSS guitars have the CLF-100 single coil pickups made in California! Of all the cheap (under $500) guitars that I have had, these are by far the best pickups! And I paid less than $400 for this guitar. The neck single coil provides what I call a "smooth sweet" tone.
